Kabra Cargo provides road-based express parcel logistics services, including door-to-door pickup and delivery. By booking with us, the consignor/consignee acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking and Acceptance Policy
It is deemed that the consignor and/or consignee has read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions before booking any consignment with Kabra Cargo.
Goods/parcels are items handed over for transportation. The consignor is the sender of goods/parcels, and the consignee is the receiver. The consignment note is the receipt issued to the consignor at the time of booking and must be retained for all future reference
It is the consignor’s responsibility to ensure that correct documents, including invoices and e-way bills, are placed inside the parcel and also provided to transporter (Kabra Cargo) where applicable.
The consignor must ensure that accurate and complete details are provided at the time of booking, including name, address, mobile number, quantity, weight, type of goods, GST/E-Way Bill (if applicable), and declared value. (And it will be the consignor’s sole responsibility to check the information is correct)
We do not transport time-sensitive and perishable goods. We won't be responsible for any loss/damage caused while transporting such items.
2. Pickup & Delivery Conditions
Door-to-door pickup and delivery is subject to route optimisation, driver availability, and operational hours. The Kabra Cargo's decision in scheduling and execution is final.
After a shipment is created, the request will be forwarded to the nearest branch for Assign&approval. A shipment shall be deemed officially booked only upon approval and assignment of the pickup request by the branch. The mere creation of a shipment or receipt of an invoice (via WhatsApp, email, or any other means) does not constitute booking confirmation. Until such approval is granted, Kabra Cargo is under no obligation to carry out pickup, and shall not be held liable for any delay or non-execution of service. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that their pickup request has been approved.
Delivery will be made within 1 to 2 working days from the time of loading in truck for destination city, excluding Sundays and public holidays. Delay due to unforeseen circumstances or customer-related issues will not be the Kabra Cargo’s responsibility.
Only one pickup and one delivery attempt will be made per booking. If the customer is unavailable or location is inaccessible during the attempt, any additional visit shall be chargeable, regardless of the number of parcels.
If the pickup or delivery address is not located on the ground floor, is inside a building without a lift, or is situated at a distance of over 200 meters from the location where the delivery vehicle is parked, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide adequate assistance or a helper. Kabra Cargo shall not be liable to complete the pickup or delivery if such assistance is not arranged at the site.
If the Kabra Cargo is unable to provide pickup or delivery due to booking being placed after the daily cut-off time (4:00 PM), high operational load, or route constraints, the customer may be required to drop off or collect the parcel to/from the nearest branch. In such cases, no refund will be applicable—even if pickup or delivery charges were initially paid—since the Kabra Cargo has not denied the service within its standard operating window.
3. Charges and Free Service Policy
For bookings up to three (3) parcels, standard pickup and delivery charges will apply
For bookings of four (4) or more parcels to the same destination, Kabra Cargo offers free pickup and delivery, subject to approval and operational convenience.
The Kabra Cargo may refuse service if the parcel is unfit for transport or if the area is not serviceable. This decision is final at the sole discretion of Kabra Cargo.
Pickup/Delivery timing will depend on the location, traffic, weather, and operational feasibility.Specific Pickup/delivery time requests will not be entertained
4. Parcel Handling and Packaging Responsibility
It is the sole responsibility of the consignor to ensure that all parcels are securely, adequately, and professionally packed according to the nature, weather, weight, and type of goods.
Kabra Cargo is not responsible for any damage, leakage, spoilage, pilferage, or breakage caused due to inadequate or improper packaging by the consignor.
In the case of delay or loss due to events such as riots, accidents, theft, fire, flood, or other natural calamities, the Kabra Cargo is not responsible. Customers are advised to insure goods.
5. Liability for Loss, Damage, or Delay
Kabra Cargo shall not be liable for any loss, delay, or damage arising due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:- Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, storms, etc.), Political unrest, strikes, or riots, Accidents or roadblocks, Fire or theft, Acts of God, Traffic disruptions or vehicle breakdowns, during transportation(Loading, Unloading). Customers are advised to insure goods.
The Kabra Cargo's liability, if any, for loss, damage, or misdelivery, shall be limited to a maximum of ₹500 per consignment or the freight charges paid, whichever is lower.
No claim will be entertained unless a complaint is raised within 2 days from the date of delivery or scheduled delivery
6. Prohibited Items and Restricted Goods
The consignor must not send or attempt to send any items that are prohibited under applicable Indian law or any relevant state legislation, including but not limited to hazardous materials, inflammable or corrosive substances, perishable or time-sensitive goods, fragile goods beyond handling capacity, currency, or living beings.
If such items are found or booked without disclosure, the consignor shall be held fully liable for all resulting damages, penalties, and consequences. The Kabra Cargo reserves the right to deny service in such cases without refund.
7. Warehousing and Demurrage
Goods must be collected by the consignee within 3 days of arrival at our warehouse. Delay beyond this period will incur a demurrage charge of ₹30 per parcel per day.
If the delivery is not taken within 15 days, the Kabra Cargo reserves the right to dispose of the goods to recover handling costs and storage charges.
8. GST and Taxation
If any government authority detains the goods, we won’t be responsible. Consignor/consignee shall indemnify us for any expenses, losses, or damages suffered by the Kabra Cargo.
GST is applicable on the total freight amount, including any additional charges, in accordance with the reverse charge mechanism under Section 9(3) of the CGST/SGST Act 2017.
The responsibility to pay GST under reverse charge lies with the service recipient (consignor) as per the law.
9. Legal Jurisdiction and Complaints
Any dispute, legal claim, or issue arising out of these services shall be subject to Ahmedabad jurisdiction only.
Any misinformation or incorrect details in the consignment note must be reported immediately (but not later than 1days).
For any complaints or service-related queries, customers must contact our head office within 2 days of the issue arising. Delayed complaints may not be considered.
